  On his time at CMU:
"My experience in the program was excellent overall. I decided to join the Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society during my freshman year to get involved in a professional society that exposed me to executive leadership, lectures, and conferences that helped advance my career even before I graduated. The expanded course offerings were an opportunity to explore different topics in meteorology, and I found the planning advice of the professors to be straightforward and helpful in advancing me through the program in four years. Getting a chance to do research was one of the most challenging, and yet rewarding, experiences in the program. This opened the door to get local, regional, and national exposure of our meteorology program, as well as provide me with a major tool to use in career advancement. I plan on continuing the research I started while at CMU. There is no doubt in my mind that the combination of all of these factors opened the door to a career with the National Weather Service."
